The 17 Senators who stood with Rand’s budget

On Friday evening, the U.S. Senate voted against a continuing resolution amendment submitted by Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.). The amendment, which was rejected by a 81-18 vote, would have substituted Paul’s 2014 budget, called “A Clear Vision to Revitalize America.” The majority of Senators disagreed with Paul’s budget, but 17 of them had the guts to ‘stand with Rand’ — who of course voted ‘yea’ on his own amendment.

Here they are, in alphabetical order:

1) Sen. John Barrasso (R-Wy.)

2) Sen. Tom Coburn (R-Okla.)

3) Sen. John Cornyn (R-Texas)

4) Sen. Mike Crapo (R-Idaho)

5) Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas)

6) Sen. Mike Enzi (R-Wy.)

7) Sen. Jeff Flake (R-Ariz.)
