Sarah Palin: CNN anchor Carol Costello and liberal media ‘want to crush us’

Sarah Palin appeared on Fox Business Network Tuesday to fire back at CNN’s Carol Costello for mocking the recent assault of her daughter, Bristol Palin.

“Liberals, they love those Saul Alinsky’s rules for radicals where they’re out there playing the politics of personal destruction,” explained Palin. “They do want to destroy personally those who they disagree with. They’re very, very intolerant of those who maybe hold opposing views to their liberal failed agenda views. So, you know, they want to crush us.”

During a segment last week, the smiling CNN anchor labeled audio of Bristol Palin recounting how a man dragged her by her feet as “quite possibly the best minute and a half of audio we’ve ever come across.”

Despite the presence of the “intolerant” liberal media, Palin said that her “haters” will not drive her from fighting in the political arena.

“Those haters out there, they don’t understand that it invigorates me, it wants me to get out there and defend the innocent,” declared Palin. “It makes me want to work so hard for justice in this country so the more they’re pouring on, the more I’m going to bug the crap out of them by being out there with the voice, with the message, hopefully running for office in the future, too.”

Palin also addressed the GOP leadership during the segment, affirming that Republicans in Washington “need more guts.”

“I would like to see them have more confidence in what it is that we stand for,” the former governor of Alaska said.

However, in Palin’s opinion, the GOP does have competent leaders in Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Tex.) and Mike Lee (R-Utah), who exhibit a “boldness” and a “courage” useful to the party.

Should the Republicans gain a majority in the Senate and take over Congress in the midterm elections, Palin said the GOP will have quite the “opportunity” to demonstrate their leadership.

“That’s our opportunity to show ’em what we’ve got,” she asserted.
