American Crossroads released a new ad Monday comparing former President George W. Bush’s honorable reaction to the events of September 11, 2001 to current President Barack Obama’s disgraceful response to September 11, 2012.
The ad shows video of Obama campaigning in Las Vegas on the same day of the attacks on the American consulate in Benghazi, Libya and appearing on The View instead of meeting with world leaders during an annual meeting of the United Nations.
“President Obama needs to learn being President isn’t just about being on TV and protecting your job,” says the ad narrator. “It’s about leadership.”
Even former President Bill Clinton sent missiles when American embassies were attacked turing his term, the video claims.
Obama’s recent bumbling on major foreign policy problems might just be the strongest issue, other than the weak economy, the Romney campaign has in its favor going into this last month of the election.
If the Romney campaign can successfully bring the facts forward on Obama’s failure to address growing tensions in the Middle East and to establish a solid foreign policy position, Romney might stand a chance at turning this campaign around.
