It’s Black Friday again, which means long lines, great deals and a decent amount of insane fights.
Here’s the weirdest stuff that has happened so far during Black Friday, 2013 edition.
1. Stabbing at West Virginia Walmart
On Thursday evening, two men were arrested after a parking lot altercation that ended in a stabbing. Ronnie Sharp, 61, allegedly stabbed Christopher Jackson, 35, in the arm. Sharp was arrested on charges of malicious wounding and brandishing a firearm. Jackson was arrested for disorderly conduct and assault and battery.
2. Suspected shoplifter shot by police at Kohl’s in Chicago suburb
Police were called to a Kohl’s in Romeoville, Ill., with a theft in process. Officers waited outside and as the two men were leaving the store, one took off running toward a vehicle. An officer gave chase and attempted to apprehend the man, but the suspect closed the door of the officer’s arm and began to drive away, dragging the office behind the car. Another officer yelled at the driver to stop, but when he didn’t, the officer fired at the car, hitting the driver. The 52-year-old driver and his 51-year-old occupant were arrested. A 28-year-old suspect was also arrested in the store.
3. Man shot while carrying big screen TV home in Las Vegas
A man bought a TV from Target and was carrying it home when a man approached and fired a shot. The victim dropped the television, and the suspect carried it to a nearby car. Another man assisted in loading the TV into the car. The victim attempted to get the TV back, and the gunman fired a few more shots, hitting the victim in the leg. The television was then left on the road as the two suspects drove away.
4. Man pepper sprayed at New Jersey Walmart
A 29-year-old man was pepper sprayed and then arrested at a New Jersey Walmart. He apparently got in an argument with a store manager. When police attempted to escort the man out of the store, he grabbed an officer by the shirt. Officers attempted to handcuff him and eventually had to use pepper spray while he continued to struggle with them. The suspect will be charged with disorderly conduct, aggravated assault on a police officer and resisting arrest. Best part? Police overheard the altercation because they were already in the store investigating reports of a woman spitting on another woman’s child.
