Statue of President Obama goes missing (update: found)

It appears even statues of Obama’s likeness are following the president’s lead and abandoning their posts for greener (more golf-friendly) pastures.

A Pennsylvania woman reported recently that her expensive statue of President Obama went missing after sitting on her porch for over a year, according to NewsWatch 16.

Tiffany Bruce of Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, explained that she suffered what sounds like a panic attack after realizing that the $1249 statue was gone.

“I peeked my head out the door and Obama’s gone and I kind of went into a panic,” detailed Bruce. “I couldn’t breathe, and I had to go to the hospital.”

The Pennsylvania woman had become quite attached to the statue, dressing it up for Halloween in costume and decking it out in a Santa Claus outfit during Christmastime.

“I just wanted to wait until I got it on sale,” Bruce recalled of her coveted purchase, “so I started buying my furniture before I purchased the statue, but I had to have it.”

A neighbor, Molly Williams, offered her powerful insight on the apparent Obama theft.

“If it’s not on your property, you should not take it at all because it’s not yours,” explained Williams plainly.

Regretfully, Bruce described herself as turned off from political statues of the like because of the troubling incident.

“I was going to get a Hillary too, but I don’t want to do it now,” she added.

Perhaps the Obama statue is hiding out on Martha’s Vineyard, Massachusetts, while its commander in chief frequents the golf course.

(Update: The Blaze reports it’s been found on a bench next to a six pack with a cigarette placed in its mouth.)
