George H.W. Bush has shaved his head

It seems you’re never too old for a makeover. Just look at former President George H.W. Bush who, at 89-years-old, shaved his head this week.

Of course, there’s a story behind Bush’s willingness to pick up a razor. Bush’s baldness is because of Patrick, the two-year-old son of one of his Secret Service agents. Patrick is fighting leukemia and thus lost all of his hair. The other Secret Service agents on Bush’s detail had shaved their heads, so the president followed suit.

“Our little guys received some high-powered support this week when President George Bush 41 volunteered his head to show his support for Patrick and Patrick’s Pals,” a family member posted on a fundraising website for the child. “We cannot thank both President AND Mrs. Bush enough for their generosity and concern!”
