On her show last night, Fox News’ Megyn Kelly addressed the attacks she has been facing for the past few days from Donald Trump.
“I just got back from a weekend at the beach with my husband and my three kids, did anything happen in the news while I was gone?” Kelly joked at the beginning of her show.
Trump’s hostile reaction to Kelly’s question about the candidate’s treatment of women has been dominating the news since the GOP debate last Thursday.
“I felt he was asked a tough, but fair question,” Kelly said, deciding not to respond to the personal attacks.
“Mr. Trump is an interesting man who has captured the attention of the electorate,” she said. “That’s why he’s leading in the polls.”
While Kelly did not attack Trump back, neither party is apologizing in this standoff.
“I certainly will not apologize for doing good journalism,” Kelly said.
