The Lonely Island offers solution for pregnancy in ‘We need love’ video: get an abortion

It’s no secret that The Lonely Island provides no shortage of laughs, but the group’s newest video offers a not-so-funny option for women should their lovemaking go awry.

The band’s newest video, called “We Need Love,” features Just 2 Guyz Jorma Taccone and Akiva Schaffer — with fellow Lonely Island member Andy Samberg making a brief appearance as the recurring character, Steve.

Playing two boring and nerdy guys, Taccone and Schaffer croon about how they “need love, not meaningless sex,” and reassure ladies they care about them and are not just looking for a romp in the bedroom.

Though the duo shows a more compassionate side to the male species, though in a satirical way, they offer a controversial solution should their love result in something unexpected.

“I wear condoms, too, but when they break it’s bad, take you to a clinic, I can’t be no dad,” Taccone sings.

Though the line may appear harmless, the video shows Taccone holding a baby doll by the foot and dumping it into a trashcan — an obvious reference to abortion.

“We Need Love” is the fourth installment of the Just 2 Guyz chronicle and is featured on The Lonely Island’s aptly named “The Wack Album.” The group, featuring “Saturday Night Live” alum Taccone, Schaffer and Samberg, is best known for their videos “I Just Had Sex” and “Lazy Sunday.”
