“No matter your gender,” the Clinton campaign wants founding members for Women for Hillary. And it only takes a dollar to do so.
On Sunday afternoon, an e-mail was sent out telling potential donors that “Hillary has been fighting for women and families all her life. It’s time to fight for her.” Included was a link to donate, which supporters could do by clicking on the image.
Monday brought a more detailed e-mail, as reported by TheBlaze. The e-mail’s language was similar to remarks made by Clinton comparing pro-lifers to terrorists. It read:
“No matter your gender,” Clinton’s pitch read, “I hope you’ll contribute $1 or more before midnight to become a founding donor of Women for Hillary.”
The e-mail was likely referencing Clinton’s support for Planned Parenthood when talking about “women’s rights and women’s health especially.”
A grassroots-organizing event for Women for Hillary had been scheduled for September 10 in Cincinnati. The event was canceled, however, Cincinnati.com reported. Clinton will attend a similar event in Columbus, and still have time for a fundraiser in Cincinnati.
Clinton’s statements managed to refrain from comparing her opponents to terrorists, this time.
She does say though that ensuring a Republican won’t become president is “by engaging as many women in this campaign as possible.” And that doesn’t speak too well to women who might not support Hillary or Democrats.
