Hillary Clinton last on ‘most admired’ list in U.S.

Sorry, Hillary.

In a new YouGov poll out on Friday, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton took the bottom spot in a list of the 10 most admired people in the United States. Pope Francis nabbed the top spot, securing 21.07 percent of the votes, followed by President Barack Obama, who secured 10.35 percent of the votes. Clinton received 1.68 percent of the votes.

The former First Lady even lost out to her own husband, former President Bill Clinton, who garnered 2.40 percent of votes. Conservative radio host Rush Limbaugh received 2.22 percent of votes, placing him in the ninth spot and right between the Clintons.

Worldwide, the most admired person was billionaire Bill Gates. He was also most admired in China. Four countries — Australia, France, Indonesia and Nigeria — picked Obama as the most admired individual, and the sitting President nabbed the second-place spot worldwide.

Predictably, Great Britain selected the Queen as the most admired person, while Russia chose President Vladimir Putin.

YouGov conducted its poll of 13,895 people by mobile phone and Internet surveys in 14 countries. Those countries made up more than half of the world’s population and include the most populous country on each continent. YouGov asked respondents to write in the living person they most admire.
