Marco Rubio blasts Deport Racism video

Deport Racism was the group calling on someone to shout “Trump is a racist” during his performance of Saturday Night Live. They’re also the group behind using children to shout profanity towards Donald Trump for his stance on immigration.

Although the video wasn’t targeting Marco Rubio, the fellow GOP presidential candidate had some harsh words against it.

Rubio appeared on Fox & Friends Friday morning, during which he spoke out against Trump criticizing him for his financial past.

As the Daily Caller reported though, during that same segment though, he also spoke out against the video targeting Trump.

Rubio had also been asked  if he would host Saturday Night Live, or do a walk-on role, to which he replied “maybe.” He didn’t think he would have enough time to host though, and emphasized they haven’t asked him.

The discussion then moved towards discussing the protests from some Latino groups when it came to Trump as host. He said that people had a right to protest, but that if they didn’t like him they shouldn’t watch the show.

When he was then asked about the video, Rubio certainly did not hold back. He jumped in right away to call it “outrageous,” while host Elisabeth Hasselbeck also offered that it “was unfair to the children.” In his response Rubio also shared:

Well first of all, it’s counterproductive. Who do these groups think they’re impressing by doing this? They’re not bringing anybody to their side, they’re turning people off. People look at that and say ‘these people are grotesque.’ I mean these are little children. What kind of parent allows their children to go on a video like that and use that kind of profanity. What kind of parents allow a kid to do that?

Hasselbeck also asked Rubio how he felt, as a Latino man:

Disgusted. Well, as a father, it’s a disgusting video… and by the way they’re creating this image that somehow, unless you’re in favor of illegal immigration, you are anti-Hispanic. That’s absurd. There are millions of Hispanics who are waiting to come to this country legally… they are upset that somebody who came here illegally is going to be able to come here faster and cheaper.

When asked what his message to the filmmakers was, Rubio emphasized that it was a “disgusting” video, and also continued to call out their parents.

Larry David did in fact win the $5,000 from Deport Racism. The group pointed out on Twitter that “joke or not, it was true.”
