Don’t mess with famed meteorologist Jim Cantore, unless you want a kick to the gut and instant Internet fame.
That’s the lessen one young gentleman learned after he attempted to ambush the legendary Weather Channel meteorologist, who was in Charleston, S.C., yesterday covering the winter storm enveloping the southeast. Cantore was giving an on-air report when the man, who the weatherman said was a student at the University of Charleston, charged him, screaming like a banshee.
Without missing a beat, the metrologist warded off the man by giving him a swift kick just a little south of his stomach. The blow caused Cantore to spin around, but he still managed to deliver a near-perfect segment before handing it over to another reporter.
Way to keep it professional, Jim.
