Jimmy Fallon talks Obama’s immigration speech, calls president ‘sad guy’

Jimmy Fallon addressed President Obama’s speech outlining his planned executive action on immigration during the opening monologue of “The Tonight Show” Thursday.

“People watching TV said the president came off as strong, powerful and decisive,” explained Fallon. “Then, they switched from ‘Scandal’ to see what Obama had to say, and he was good too. He was alright.”

The comedian then commented on Obama’s plan to travel to Las Vegas Friday in order to rally support for his immigration decision.

“Speaking of Obama, I saw that he will travel to Las Vegas [Friday] to speak at the same … high school where he laid out his plan for immigration almost two years ago,” Fallon said. “In other words, Obama has become that sad guy who has graduated a while ago and still comes back to hang with the seniors. ”

“You guys need me to buy beer?” he said, imitating this “sad guy” version of the president.

Fallon also had a hilarious response to the Democratic congressman who suggested a moat be built around the White House to ward off intruders. Watch below to find out what he had to say:
