Eric Trump, son of President Donald Trump, got a haircut over the weekend. Without missing a beat, the progressive left were creating conspiracies about how his haircut must have ties to Nazism.
Covered by HuffPo, the site proclaimed, “Many thought the haircut made him resemble white nationalist Richard Spencer.”
Who are these many people? Random twitter users, of course.

Was Richard Spencer his inspiration?

Eric Trump has a fascist haircut.
This cannot possibly be unintentional. pic.twitter.com/9mqUbwENqQ

Now have you ever gone to the hairdresser or barber to get a few inches off and left with a completely different look? It’s everyone’s biggest fear and actually happens quite often. Even if Trump requested this specific haircut called the “high and tight,” it’s far from an overt nod to fascism.
Nazis don’t have a monopoly on this specific cut, just like hipsters don’t have a monopoly on beards. After all, we’re pretty sure that Adam Levine, Macklemore, David Beckham, and the like don’t heil Hitler.
Even HuffPo readily admits it’s a ridiculous stretch but they ran with the article anyway, calling this the perfect tweet.
It’s okay to make fun of Nazi haircuts. pic.twitter.com/cCWLvmGo3p

If HuffPo is so worried about issues like human rights and healthcare, you’d think they’d spend more time covering the serious issues.
