Democratic National Committee Chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz and Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus got into quite the unproductive spat on CNN’s “State of the Union” Sunday.
Priebus spent most of the interview trying to get Wasserman Schultz to admit whether or not Obama’s policies are “on the ballot” in the midterm elections. The Florida congresswoman did everything in her power to avoid the question.

“Yes, it is about the president and yes, it is about his policies,” Priebus said of the election. “But the Democrats don’t want to admit that the president’s policies are on the ballot. So, are they or are they not?”
CNN host Candy Crowley then reiterated that question to Wasserman Schultz, who proceeded to dodge it over and over again.
“This election is about making sure that we elect a Congress that will focus on the priorities that people care about the most,” explained Wasserman Schultz. “And, that’s creating jobs, getting this economy turned around, investing in education and health care, making sure that we can focus on a foreign policy that keeps people safe from harm.”
She claimed that, while Democrats have “people’s back,” Republicans are motivated by “extremism and a Tea Party agenda.”
Later, Priebus drew attention to the fact that Wasserman Schultz “still [hadn’t] answered the question to whether or not the president’s policies are on the ballot.” So, Crowley asked her a second time.
Wasserman Schultz skirted around it again, going on a long rant about the choice voters face between Democrats and Republicans on the ballot.
