Times of crisis can bring out the best in people, even unlikely people like two notorious rappers.
Snoop Dogg and The Game gave a press conference in Los Angeles on Friday, urging citizens, especially those in the black community, and the Los Angeles Police Department to rally together in order to bridge their difference and stop the cycle of violence.
“We’re here to show our love and support to the police force in Los Angeles and get some understanding and communication,” Snoop Dogg said.
“I think we need to take responsibility as a human race and accept the role as peace givers and people that distribute love and change throughout the city,” The Game added. “I didn’t leave my house with malice in my heart or hate in my heart or anger towards anyone, police officer or not.”
The LAPD also addressed the crowd that they would work harder to provide better to the community and hoped that going forward the violence could stop.
