The U.S. Constitution: There’s an app for that.
Suzi LeVine, the new U.S. Ambassador to Switzerland and Liechtenstein, took her oath Friday using an e-reader. LeVine is the first ambassador ever to take the oath by placing her hand on an electronic device rather than a hard copy. A digitally stored copy of the Constitution on a Kindle Touch allowed LeVine to do so.

While LeVine is the first ever ambassador to say her oath by use of electronics, she is not the first public official to do so.
According to the Washington Post, firefighters in New Jersey took their oath earlier this year with an iPad when no hard copy of the Bible could be found.
A new trend might be set.
