President Trump chastised the New York Times on Wednesday for not running Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh’s “victory” on the front page.
“Despite so many positive events and victories, Media Reseach [sic] Center reports that 92% of stories on Donald Trump are negative on ABC, CBS and ABC. It is FAKE NEWS!” Trump posted to Twitter. “Don’t worry, the Failing New York Times didn’t even put the Brett Kavanaugh victory on the Front Page yesterday-A17!”

Trump was referring to a report Tuesday from the Media Research Center, a conservative watchdog group, that found 92 percent of Trump coverage over the summer on ABC, CBS, and NBC was negative. In the analysis, 1,007 evening news stories regarding the Trump administration from June 1 to Sept. 30 were viewed and the topics and comments made by anchors, reporters, and non-partisan sources such as voters or experts were tallied and evaluated.
A late edition of the Times’ front page print edition on Tuesday did not include a story on Kavanaugh.
After a contentious confirmation process, Justice Kavanaugh participated in a ceremonial swearing-in with Trump on Monday; he was privately sworn in shortly after being confirmed this weekend. Kavanaugh presided over his first oral arguments as a Supreme Court justice on Tuesday. His two young daughters were allowed to take the day off of school to attend.
