A woman appearing to be a college educator is going viral on social media after making a video where she claims that she gives every student who takes her class an “A” in order to “decolonize” her classroom.
“We don’t grade over here,” the professor, identified as Dr. Puritty, said.

“Anyone who takes my class automatically gets an A,” she continued. “They’re told in the first week they’re gonna get an A. The only thing that’s required is attendance, and I have weeks of excused absences built in so that if people are sick or have family obligations it won’t affect their grade.”
Giving every student an “A” may make it difficult for her to judge her students, but the professor said the way around that is to not give traditional assignments.
“I also don’t give homework … surprise, surprise … and I run a discussion-style classroom,” she said. “So, my students and I have [an] equal part when it comes to bringing information to the table. We all sit together and share what we’re talking about, and they get to use their critical thinking skills to apply the things they learned in all their other classes.”
The initial video was posted on TikTok by the account @housepurity, but it has gained nearly 100,000 views on Twitter after it was shared by Libs of TikTok.

Libs of TikTok identified the teacher as a professor at the University of California San Diego.
The Washington Examiner reached out to UC San Diego for comment but did not receive an immediate response.
