Majority blame crime spike on ‘woke politicians’: Poll

As crime rates increase, voters are blaming “woke politicians” and say it will influence how they vote during the midterm elections.

A recent Harvard-Harris poll showed that 64% of voters find the rise in crime to be the fault of “woke politicians,” with less than a third of respondents saying the country is “on the right track.”

While the economy remains top of mind for voters, 68% say crime is a “very important” consideration as they head to the polls.

Earlier this month, the FBI confirmed voters’ fears with the announcement of a jump in murders and car thefts.

The poll surveyed 2,010 registered voters online between Oct. 12-13, with results noted as being weighted for age within gender, region, race/ethnicity, marital status, household size, income, employment, education, political party, and political ideology.
