Society is hitting rock bottom, according to a new single from Kid Rock.
In the single “Don’t Tell Me How To Live,” which was released on Friday and features Canadian rock band Monster Truck, Michigan musician Kid Rock, 50, took aim at millennials and those in Generation Z for being “snowflakes” and easily offended.
“Years ago, we all thought it was a joke, see. That every kid got a motherf***ing trophy,” reads part of the lyrics. “These minions and their agendas. Every opinion has a millennial offended. But this amendment one, it rings true.”

The music video for the song features a large middle finger rocket Kid Rock rides into space as he sings that no one’s going to tell him “how to live.”
The musician posted a picture of a face mask covering the Statue of Liberty accompanying the announcement of the song, likely referencing government measures taken to combat the COVID-19 pandemic that some view as infringements on personal liberties.

The musician has not been shy about his political views. He appeared to support Donald Trump in his 2016 bid and campaigned for him in 2020. He also supported Michigan Republican candidate John James in his campaign for the U.S. Senate, and he himself was floated as a Michigan Senate candidate.
Kid Rock previously revealed plans to release a 50-song “triple album” that has since been pushed to 2022 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Detroit Free Press reported. He suggested it may be one of his last tours, citing his age.
