EXCLUSIVE — NASHVILLE, Tennessee — Former United Nations Ambassador Nikki Haley will condemn national self-loathing and encourage pride during an address to the Faith and Freedom Coalition’s Road to Majority conference on Thursday.
Haley, a speculated 2024 presidential candidate, will apportion special blame to Ivy League universities, such as Harvard and Yale, for contributing to “the greatest crisis we face today,” according to prepared remarks obtained by the Washington Examiner.
“It doesn’t matter who gets elected if our fellow citizens no longer believe in the land of the free,” she will say Thursday. “It doesn’t matter who wins at the ballot box if the people think America itself should lose.”
The daughter of Indian immigrants is expected to add, “For anyone who thinks that America is worse than other countries, I have a simple question: If the grass is greener anywhere else, why are you still here?”
Haley, criticizing President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris for their repeated references to “systemic racism,” is similarly anticipated to rip critical race theory, “gender pronoun nonsense,” and “men” playing in women’s sports.
“When someone tells you that America is evil, you can’t expect them to just sit there,” she will say. “They’re going to get angry. Then they’re going to take out that anger on the rest of us. And they won’t rest until America is destroyed.”
Haley, a two-term South Carolina governor who represented then-President Donald Trump’s administration at the United Nations, will also compare the perceived decline in national self-belief and confidence with that of Ukraine.
“If a foreign enemy invaded the United States, most of the party of FDR and JFK would choose flight over fight,” she will say, mentioning the late Presidents Franklin Roosevelt and John F. Kennedy.
Concluding with a clarion call for conservatives “to save America,” she will implore Republicans not to be complacent before November’s midterm elections.
“I don’t care if we’re up against Joe Biden, Kamala Harris, or, God forbid, AOC,” she will say, alluding to Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY). “We need to elect leaders, at every level of government, who believe in America and will fight for America.”
Haley’s appearance at the Faith and Freedom Coalition’s event comes after she spent the weekend campaigning for her local congresswoman, Rep. Nancy Mace (R-SC). Mace, who slammed Trump over Jan. 6 and certified the 2020 Electoral College results while reminding 1st Congressional District voters she supported his policies, fended off a primary opponent endorsed by the former president this week.
