White House adviser Kellyanne Conway on Tuesday dismissed a recent wave of Democratic criticism of President Trump by saying it’s coming from Democrats who spend their days blocking Trump’s agenda and giving TV interviews.
“They live on TV, especially Schiff and you know it,” she said of Rep. Adam Schiff, D-Calif., who has appeared in dozens of interviews to slam Trump.
“This guy leaves the house every morning with his earpiece and his congressional button, and he does a lot more with the earpiece,” she said.
Over the weekend, Schiff said the only way to fight Trump is to throw out the “bums’ in Congress that support Trump’s agenda. Rep. Eric Swalwell, D-Calif., said later that these Republicans are worse than bums because they aren’t standing up to Trump.
But Conway said all Democrats can do is criticize Trump because they have no other agenda.
“This is the flailing that happens when you have no message,” she said.
