Tiger commits to AT&T, too

In addition to his commitment to The Players Championship, Tiger Woods officially added another tournament to his schedule on Wednesday, announcing that he will play the AT&T National. This was hardly a surprise, considering it’s a tournament he hosts and a tournament he won in 2009 at Congressional.

The 2010 AT&T will be played at Aronimink, in the suburbs of Philadelphia. The tournament was moved as Congressional undergoes renovation in preparation for hosting the 2011 U.S. Open.

It will be interesting to see how Tiger operates as a tournament host post scandal. Will it be as possible for him to be as front and center as he was in the 2007 and 2009 events at Congressional. In 2008, he remained in Florida, recovering from knee surgery.

AT&T dropped its endorsement deal with Woods on Jan. 1, but remained as sponsor of the tournament, which benefits the Tiger Woods Foundation.
