As announced on the IAAMsports.com Web site over the weekend, the Interscholastic Athletic Association of Maryland softball tournament will start up Tuesday, with four games set to kickoff the three-round playoff.
Archbishop Spalding (13-1 conference), the top seed, will host eighth-seed McDonogh (0-14), while John Carroll (7-7) visits St. Vincent Pallotti (9-5) in the five-versus-seven battle. Seton Keough (10-4) will fill the second seed and play host to Mercy (2-12), as Mount De Sales (5-9) visits third-seeded Institute of Notre Dame (10-4). All game times are scheduled for 4:30 p.m. for the first two rounds, with the top-seeded teams hosting first and second round action.
The championship game will be held at 5:30 p.m. Saturday at Thomas Run Park on the campus of Harford Community College in Bel Air.
