Hamilton doesn’t need alarm clock ahead of second Wizards workout

Jordan Hamilton had a couple strikes against him the first time he worked out for the Wizards. First, he got up too late to give himself time to eat. Second, he was matched up at small forward against former AAU teammate Kawhi Leonard, not his preferred position at shooting guard.

With a second chance, Hamilton made up for both.

At 6-foot-7, the mid-to-late first round projected Texas sophomore, had better matchups on Tuesday, the tallest of four guards in a Verizon Center workout, which allowed him to show off his shooting and passing skills in the pick and roll.

“I think that in the league,” Hamilton said. “I’ll probably be a two rather than a three strictly because it’s easier for me to get my shot off, and I can post smaller guys up.”

But most importantly, there was no way he needed an alarm clock.

“I was up early, around 6, so I got some breakfast,” Hamilton said. “Then I came over and shot for about an hour and a half, then I started my workout.”

Hamilton also said he was going to have a second workout with Charlotte on Wednesday, going alongside Marcus Morris and Chris Singleton.
