When radical rockers Rage Against the Machine took the stage Wednesday at the Tent State Music Festival to End the War, they had some help from an old hand at such matters. That would be none other than Wayne Kramer from seminal Detroit proto-punks the MC5, who played 40 years ago in Chicago. When Kramer took the stage with Rage at the Denver Coliseum, he shouted, “It’s time to kick ’em out!!,” as he launched into the MC5’s anthem, “Kick Out the Jams.”
