Sure, today’s CNN/YouTube Democratic debate isn’t in Hollywood, but that doesn’t mean you won’t see stars in Charleston, S.C.
The Creative Coalition, the Strong American Schools’ “ED in 08” initiative and the South Carolina Democratic Leadership Council are hosting a luncheon in Charleston this afternoon and VIPs in attendance will include actors Richard Schiff ( “The West Wing”), Ernie Hudson (“Desperate Housewives”), Rachel Shelley (“Gray Matters,” “The ‘L’ Word”) and Rhys Coiro (“Entourage”). Pundit Lawrence O’Donnell Jr. will moderate.
“Of all the issues raised by voters leading up to tonight’s debate, education is No. 1” said Strong American Schools’ Doug Heye. “The need for comprehensive reform is something that candidates need to address.”
