Wanted to let everyone know that the Washington Examiner is sponsoring a Caps on Tap viewing party at Union Jack’s in Ballston on New Year’s Day. It’s a good way for those of you not headed to Pittsburgh to watch the Winter Classic with your fellow Caps fans. And just think – you’ll be warm and cozy indoors sipping a reasonably priced beverage and not decked out in rain gear surrounded by Penguins fans.
Puck drops at 1 p.m. on NBC. We’ll have a table set up and will also be giving away Caps merchandise. The Examiner is sponsoring all five Caps on Tap viewing parties in January with another one scheduled in Ballston and stops in Germantown, Springfield and Alexandria, too.
