The lives of Washington Post reporter Bob Woodward and actor-director Robert Redford will forever be linked. After all, Redford played Woodward in the 1976 film “All the President’s Men.”

The two had a chance to cross paths last week, when Redford was in town for the screening of his latest movie, “Lions for Lambs.”

At an after party at the Ritz Carlton, we had to ask Woodward: Since Redford played you in a movie more than 30 years ago, who has aged better, you or him?

“Oh, I think he might win that one,” Woodward said, ever so humbly. Woodward’s wife, writer Elsa Walsh, also threw a nod at Redford, saying that “he’s aged great.” (In reality, Redford is seven years Woodward’s senior.)

But would she really sell out her hubby like that?

“Oh, I think it’s about equal,” Walsh said when offered a chance to revise her earlier statement (much to the satisfaction of her husband).
