Lee provides offensive line depth The Redskins added depth to both lines Monday, first re-signing defensive end Kedric Golston and then signing offensive tackle James Lee.
For Golston, it gives him a chance to continue in the only NFL city he has called home. Golston has spent his first six seasons with Washington, mostly as a reserve. But Golston has started 43 games for the Redskins, including 13 in 2010. He was their third end in 2011, though his season ended after nine games because of a torn ACL. He’s expected to recover in time for training camp.

Golston would be the fourth end behind Adam Carriker, Stephen Bowen and Jarvis Jenkins. But Golston also is a valuable special teams performer, particularly on the protection units.
As for Lee, he started nine games in 2010 and one in 2011 at tackle for Tampa Bay. He will provide depth during training camp if nothing else. He spent four seasons with Tampa Bay, appearing in 19 games, including 18 the past two years combined.
