An Amen from Ashley
Actress Ashley Judd sat in the Kentucky delegate section during Hillary Clinton’s speech Tuesday night, and her response was enthusiastic — to say the least. “She knocked it out of the park,” Judd told the Examiner as soon as the speech ended. “It was the best speech of her career.”
On frequent occasions during the speech, Judd responded aloud to Clinton points by saying “That’s right, that’s right.” When Clinton said that 47 million Americans don’t have health insurance, Judd audibly exclaimed: “That’s obscene.”
And when Clinton started a litany of complaints against John McCain by saying McCain would offer “four more years of the last eight years,” Judd yelled “No!” Another complaint, and Judd yelled “No!” again — and this time about seven nearby delegates did the same. By the fifth complaint, almost the entire audience was doing the same — and it indisputably began with Judd, who did not even seem to realize that she was the one who had started it.
No word on whether she’ll start the wave tonight at Invesco Field.
