French President Nicolas Sarkozy gave his address to Congress today in his native tongue, which meant that most members of Congress wore earpieces in order to hear the real-time translation.
But not Sen. John Kerry, the man who Republicans mocked in 2004 for being too cozy with the French, and even “French-looking.” Kerry eschewed the earpiece in favor of his own knowledge of the language.
