Add one more accolade to Sheila Johnson’s resume of accomplishments: Pepsi calendar girl.
The Washington Mystics’ owner is featured in a new Pepsi calendar, titled “The First of Many.” The calendar profiles trailblazers in the African-American community, and Johnson — aka Miss October — is praised for being the “First African-American female billionaire and first woman to have a stake in three professional sports teams.” One more local gal, Zina Garrison (Miss September), is singled out for being the “first African-American woman to win an Olympic gold medal for tennis.” The free calendar will be available to Walgreens costumers and can be found at other locations where Pepsi is sold.
