The Maryland men’s soccer team won its second national championship in four seasons on Sunday, and its players reaped the benefits on the all-tournament team.

The Terrapins (23-3-0) claimed five of the 11 spots on the NCAA Men’s College Cup All-Tournament team, including the Most Outstanding Offensive Player, Graham Zusi, and Most Outstanding Defensive Player, Omar Gonzalez.

Zusi, who sent the Terrapins to the championship with a free kick goal to down St. John’s, 1-0, in sudden-death overtime Friday, scored the lone goal to defeat North Carolina, 1-0, at Pizza Hut Park in Frisco, Texas.

Gonzalez, a junior from nearby Dallas, led the Terrapins to their program-record 15th shutout of the season to claim their third title in school history.

Joining the most outstanding duo on the all-tournament team was senior defender A.J. Delagarza, senior defender/midfielder Rich Costanzo and sophomore forward Jason Herrick.
