Specter To Vie For Funniest Celeb

Founder Richard Siegel has announced that Sen. Arlen Specter, R-Pa., will compete for the title of Funniest Celebrity this fall at the annual contest.

Specter joins emcee Clarence Page, White House aide Ed Gillespie, The Nation’s David Corn and Americans for Tax Reform’s Grover Norquist. Defending champ Rep. Linda Sanchez, D-Calif., will present Rep. Barney Frank, D-Mass., with a lifetime achievement award as the “Hill Flamethrower.” (Full disclosure: A certain Yeas & Nays writer will also take to the stage that evening.)
