Spalding keeps IAAM crown

The Archbishop Spalding softball team won its second consecutive IAAM A Conference title, and record-tying fourth overall, on Saturday at Thomas Run Park at Bel Air?sHarford Community College.

The Cavaliers (18-4 overall) used a six-hit attack to down Seton Keough, 4-1, according to the IAAM official website.

After the game, Cavalier pitcher Stephanie Weigman, infielder Lauren O?Malley and center fielder Sloane Van Meter were named to the IAAM A Conference all-star team.

Seton Keough ended the season with a 13-5 overall record.

Maryvale Prep (14-3) won the B Conference title, while St. John?s at Prospect Hall (15-2) claimed its first C Conference championship, according to IAAMsports.com.
