For pure amusement, little can compare to the Maryland Terrapins’ five-game winning streak. Let’s review and rate the games on a scale of 1-10.

Maryland 85, Virginia 66
The Terps shoot 70 percent in a first-half blitz that nets 52 points, including 25 from Greivis Vasquez, as Maryland treats a raucous Comcast Center crowd on a rare Monday night.

Maryland 67, N.C. State 58
Playing their third game in five days and down by 12 with 18 minutes left, the Terps have reason to pack it in. But they hold N.C. State without a field goal for nearly nine minutes, and Vasquez answers the taunts of the Wolfpack crowd (“USA”) with 17 of his 26 points after intermission.

Maryland 76, Georgia Tech 74
Maryland has no answer for Georgia Tech man-child Derrick Favors (21 points, 18 rebounds) and trails by five with less than five minutes to go before Cliff Tucker saves the Terps with a buzzer-beating 3-pointer.

Maryland 88, Clemson 79
The Terps can’t keep up with the pressing, up-tempo Tigers, trailing by 15 in the first half and 12 in the second before Vasquez leads a 12-0 run that blows the game open. The defining moment: Vasquez’s breakaway one-handed slam.

Maryland 104, Virginia Tech 100 (2OT)
Great game from the opening tip to the final buzzer, epitomized at the end of regulation when Eric Hayes hits what appears to be the winning jumper with six seconds left. The Hokies’ Malcolm Delaney answers with a spectacular end-to-end dash for the tying layup.
