When I was growing up there was a Saturday Game of the Week in baseball and it was a very big deal for kids who loved the game.
Now we have over 400 games a year and so Saturday baseball is not as big as it was but I give FOX credit. For the first time since they got the contract they will have a full season of Saturday Games of the week.
The games will be broken down to three zones. the East, Mid West and West. So things get underway April 5th.
ESPN will have their national Sunday Game of the week in primetime that starts as we all know with the Braves coming to Washington to open the season against the Nats in the new ball park.
Then April 6th TBS will start their Sunday Baseball Game of the week every Sunday Afternoon throughout the entire season.
So the first week of baseball will give us a Saturday Game of the Week on FOX as well as a Sunday Afternoon Game of the Week on TBS followed by ESPN Sunday Night Baseball.
Here is the FOX line up…
