Cameron Dohse, WR, William & Mary
The junior from Centreville saved the best game of his career for when the Tribe needed it most. With five catches for a career-high 148 yards, including an NCAA playoff-record 98-yard touchdown reception from R.J. Archer, Dohse played a starring role in the FCS (Division I-AA) semifinals at Villanova. But after getting dominated in the first half, Villanova rallied for a 14-13 victory to advance to the championship game against Montana. Dohse started only two games this year, but finished with 30 catches for 566 yards. Another Tribesman, kicker Brian Pate (Massaponax) kicked field goals of 40 and 46 yards against Villanova, giving him 23 for the year, a single-season school record.

Andrew Rodriguez, LB, Army
Saturday in Philadelphia, Rodriguez (Ireton) did his best to halt Army’s losing streak against archrival Navy. With a game-high 15 tackles, Rodriguez had much to do with the Black Knights shutting out the Mids in the first half. But Army couldn’t contain Navy QB Ricky Dobbs after intermission in a 17-3 loss, its eighth straight in the series. Seven of Rodriguez’s tackles resulted in gains of two or fewer yards for Navy. The 6-3, 210-pound sophomore also forced a fumble, the only one this year in 175 touches for Navy fullback Vince Murray. In its recruitment of Rodriguez, Army had an advantage. His father, Lt. Gen. David Rodriguez, is a West Point graduate (1976) and runs day-to-day operations of U.S. military forces in Afghanistan. His sister, Amy, also graduated from West Point (2006).
