Major League Baseball has postponed Game 5 until Wednesday night. The game will be resumed in the bottom of the 6th inning with the Phillies batting in a 2-2 tie. The game is a resumption of the Monday night disaster that has fans shaking their heads and FOX broadcasters doing their best to explain why a game was being played in a Nor Easter.

Hard rains and winds in excess of 40 miles per hours stopped the game in the bottom of the 6th after the Rays had tied the game up at 2.

FOX, ESPN Radio and Sirius –XM will all be back. As always Joe Buck and Tim McCarver was not shy about their comments that the game should be stopped. Both men wondered out loud how long the game would continue as there were plenty of shots of the downpour and the gusting winds.

So FOX airs House tonight and we all sit back and watch NBA basketball. By the way the Rays checked out of their hotel Monday before Game 5 of the World Series. That is not uncommon because they expected to fly the charter back to Tampa after the game. But since they checked out the hotel in Philly gave away their rooms and now they are staying 40 miles away in Wilmington.

By the way no fans whine better than the Phillies fans do. Of course most of the fans are nice, but it does seem that the so called City of Brotherly Love is full of so many whiners – makes you wonder if winning will help them or only make them worse.
