Augusta: Now it’s getting ridiculous

Were you really surprised to see Tiger Woods hole out on No. 7? No, not because it’s Tiger, but because it’s Augusta National.

This is how they set up the course, putting some pins at the bottom of the fall line, especially on Sunday. Adam Scott already made an eagle at the same hole, his ball inching, trickling, rolling, and then dropping into the hole roughly 30 seconds after it landed on the green, 40 feet away, but on the perfect spot on the ridge.

How many hole-outs have we seen this weekend? How many more will happen as the leaders hit the back nine?

Earlier in the day, Nathan Green made a hole-in-one at No. 16 and its traditional Sunday pin placement, at the bottom of the ridge that runs down the middle of the green.

As the leaders play No. 16, don’t be surprised to see another “magic moment,” though not so magic when you consider how they rig this course.
