A fashionable homecoming

Hilary Rhoda, the newest face of Estée Lauder and the pride of Chevy Chase, will take a short break from the runways of Fashion Week in New York tonight as she jets in and out of D.C. to serve as the honorary chairwoman of the 5th District Sample Sale.

Tickets for the event at the Galleria at Lafayette Centre are sold out for the fifth time in a row, so the only way to catch a glimpse of the 21-year-old (who ranked 12th on Forbes’ list of the world’s top-earning supermodels, so you know she’s rich, too) is to pony up $250 for a benefactress ticket.

“It is a wonderful event that the fashion community has established to benefit important local charities, and I’m thrilled to play a part,” Rhoda said in a statement.

Twenty-two area boutiques will be selling deeply discounted fashions — but the smartest men in town will be flocking to Hudson for the official afterparty.
