Ravens Coach John Harbaugh could not say enough positive about his team, their attitude and the big game that’s “just another football game” this Sunday.
Just another game if it weren’t the biggest rivals in the AFC North, and if it weren’t the one that decides which team goes to the Super Bowl Feb. 1 in Tampa, Fla.
Local Ravens fans are decking the halls in purple this week and shouting out to the world about their Ravens pride as their team prepares for the showdown with Pittsburgh.
“It’s two football teams that play a certain brand of football. It’s physical football. Its fundamental. It’s a very disciplined style of football,” Harbaugh said Monday. All the same, “it’s going to be a football game, whoever plays the best makes the important plays is going to be the team that wins.”
But however he tries to exude decorum and sportsmanship, fans from Pittsburgh to Charm City are amping up the smack talk on this site and Pittsburgh’s WPXI Channel 11 are bringing out their crudest in defense of their team.
Are we going to let them talk trash about our birds, or are we going to take the high road and show some dignity?
