Where are they now?: Cristi Ecks, Softball

Ecks was named the Big East Conference pitcher of the week on April 10 after consecutive shutouts of Stetson (Fla.) and Providence where she totaled 17 strikeouts and allowed just six hits. Ecks has started 25 games and is 16-10 with a 1.06 ERA. She has also struck out 164 batters. South Florida, 38-19 overall, is in first place in the Big East with an 8-0 conference record.

Ecks was a two-time All-Examiner selection. She struck out 366 batters in 29 games during her senior season at Osbourn and finished with an ERA of 0.07. The Eagles were the Group AAA state runners-up in 2005, losing to Kempsville, 1-0, in the state final.
