Romo roams around D.C.

That’s Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo outside Morton’s tonight, where he grabbed dinner on a night when everyone cared more about New England Patriot Tom Brady than him. Sadly, girlfriend Jessica Simpson was nowhere to be seen. Romo’s Cowboys are in town to play the Washington Redskins on Sunday.

Romo checked into the Madison Hotel this evening after having to walk through a crowd of 200 die hard Cowboys fans. So, when he left later for Mortons, he decided to use the employee entrance, along with teammates DeMarcus Ware, Terry Glenn, Patrick Crayton, Julius Jones and a few Cowboys managers.

Once at the restaurant, Ware — who was not sitting with the other players — decided to play a little prank on his teammates by sending over some “fruity drinks” to their table. But two could play that game: Romo sent over a birthday cake to Ware, even though Ware’s birthday is in July.

And, if you’re still crying about Simpson not being in town, fear not: When asked if Jessica was coming, Romo told one fan, “I guess we’ll have to wait and see.”
