Sweet 16: No. 2 Duke vs. No. 3 Villanova, Thursday, 9:57 p.m., CBS

DUKE       VILLANOVA
Mike Krzyzewski has a tourney record 71 wins, but adding to that total won’t be easy. X Coaching   Jay Wright has lost to the eventual national champion in three of the last four NCAA tournies.
The Blue Devils turn the ball over way less since Jon Scheyer (14.9 ppg, 2.8 apg) took over at point.   Guards X Take your pick, but Scottie Reynolds (15.1 ppg) is due for a breakout Big Dance performance.
Kyle Singler (16.5 ppg, 7.7 rpg) can shoot, but battling for rebounds may be more urgent.   Forwards X Dante Cunningham (16.3 ppg) overshadows solid performer Dwayne Anderson (8.8 ppg, 6.0 rpg).
Greg Paulus lost his spot in the first five, but he inspires at both ends of the floor off the bench.   Bench X Big East sixth man of the year Corey Fisher (10.9 ppg) was crucial in the opening round vs. American.
Doesn’t seem like it’s been three years since their last Sweet 16. Does that make them underdogs?   Experience X Last year the Wildcats made it to the Sweet 16 with zero seniors. Everyone remembers.
Gerald Henderson (16.8 ppg) possesses unmatched athleticism and can change a game by himself.  X X-Factor   Backcourt turnovers. Platoon of guards expect heavy pressure. If they break it, watch out.
If the Blue Devils can’t defend, especially in the paint, the pressure to make threes will crush them.   Overall X Despite first-round scare and controversy of playing at home, they sure don’t feel like a No. 3 seed.
