Elisabeth and Andrew Shue, everyone’s favorite soccer-playing/acting brother-and-sister pair (is there another?), along with Elisabeth’s husband, director Davis Guggenheim, were the main attractions at the AFI Silver Theatre in Silver Spring Wednesday for the Washington premiere of their new film, “Gracie.”

Guggenheim (of “An Inconvenient Truth” fame) directs and Elisabeth and Andrew (of “Leaving Las Vegas” and “Melrose Place” fame, respectively) star in the film based on Elisabeth’s own struggle to play competitive soccer as a girl in the late ’70s.

The premiere, like the film, was a family affair, with the theater packed with members of the Shue/Guggenheim clan.

In Davis’ intro to the film, he said, “Whenever I got lost making this movie, I remembered how much I love her.” Aw …

After a Q&A, the audience continued their evening at Ceviche, where Elisabeth posed with members of several girls’ soccer teams in attendance.

The film opens June 1.
