Tournament host to face amateurs in chipping contest on Media Day
Tiger Woods will compete in a closest-to-the-pin chipping contest with 10 fans on Monday, May 21, as part of the AT&T National Media Day at Congressional. Contestants will be selected through the AT&T National Facebook page and through local TV and radio stations.
This is the first time Woods has participated in such a contest for the tournament. It will begin at 2:45, followed by Woods’ press conference. Contest winners will receive prizes, VIP tournament tickets, and signed memorabilia. All contestants will also participate in the shotgun tournament on Media Day, which begins at 8:30 a.m. at the famed Blue Course at Congressional. Contestants also can sit in at the press conference.
This year the AT&T National will be played June 28-July 1.
