Ron Paul Revolution is a bummer

Boy, talk about a downer.

Get Ron Paul going, and he’s bound to let you know just how little he thinks of the current state of affairs. He spoke at Americans for Tax Reform on Wednesday (a book signing sponsored by the American Conservative Defense Alliance) and reeled off his latest complaints.

- “The executive and congressional branches totally ignore the Constitution.”

- “What’s really left of the Fourth Amendment? Not very much.”

- “This is a government out of control.”

- “We have a government that is for eminent domain and is always throwing people off their land.”

- “We get ourselves involved in things we shouldn’t get involved in.”

- “The government doesn’t have a serious policy to deal with our borders.”

- “The government interferes with contracts. The government interferes with labor laws, they interfere with wages.”

- “I think [our national defense] is in terrible shape.”

- “The housing market is collapsing.”

- “The financial system is held together by pasting and Band-Aid surgery.”

- “We live in very dangerous times.”

- “The crisis is going to hit.”

- “I’ve never had much trust in politicians.”

- “Everything we do in Washington is always associated with corporations.”

So much for the audacity of hope, Ron.
